Beat your Host beats ITV’s average

SevenOne International-distributed format Beat Your Host beat the channel average share on its first UK outing.

The show, which pits celebrities against members of the public in a range of trials, started out in Germany, where it airs on ProSieben.

The Diverse/Gallowgate-produced UK version aired on its core channel ITV1 on Sunday, April 20. The 75mins show went out at 6.45pm and delivered a 23.3% audience share among all viewers over four-years-old.

In 2007, ITV1 averaged a 19.2% audience share in the 4+ demo.

It has also been performing well in Germany where it first aired in September 2006 and ten episodes have aired in all on ProSieben. The German version, Schlag den Raab, regularly airs in primetime. The April 5 episode delivered a 13.5% audience share in the 3+ and a 24% share in the 14-to-49 viewing group.

In 2007, Pro7 averaged a 6.5% audience share in the 3+ and a 11.7% share in the 14-49.
