BBC acquires Mad Men
British public broadcaster the BBC has acquired cable drama Mad Men from Lionsgate. The show, which is an original series from US cable network American Movie Classics (AMC), follows a group of hard-drinking, misogynistic advertising executives and is set in the 1960s. Australian pay TV net Movie Network also airs the series.
