Sony hires ex-Fox exec as Rozenfeld exits
Sony Pictures Television has hired former 20th Century Fox Television exec Jeffrey Glaser, with current programming chief Kim Rozenfeld set to exit.
Glaser will join Sony Pictures Television Studios (SPTS) on September 5 as executive VP of US current programming, with Rozenfeld reported to be joining former studio chiefs Jamie Erlicht and Zack van Amburg at Apple. He will in charge of Sony’s current slate.
Glaser will report to SPTS co-presidents Chris Parnell and Jason Clodfelter, who were upped to ‘the office of the president’ positions along with Jeff Frost in July.
Other changes have seen Lauren Stein promoted to lead drama development and former Syfy exec Andrew Plotkin hired to join her team this week.
Glaser joins from Wondery, the Fox-backed upstart podcast business former Fox international channels chief Hernan Lopez created.
At Wondery, which he helped co-found, he was president of content.
Before that he worked on shows such as The X-Files, Arrested Development, Modern Family and How I Met Your Mother.
