Goldsmith leaving Henson
The Jim Henson Company’s head of distribution is exiting the business.
Richard Goldsmith has been with the kids producer and distributor for six years and will depart next week.
As executive VP, global distribution, he was instrumental in many of its biggest deals, including several with Netflix such as the acquisition of animated series Dinosaur Train.
Goldsmith has another, yet to be revealed, role, with further details coming in the new year. Sales manager Amanda Quigley will cover for him in the short term.
“After six wonderful years with The Jim Henson Company, I am leaving my position on December 16 to pursue another opportunity (to be announced in early January),” Goldsmith said.
