Zed replaces exiting sales chief with Persyn
Chloé Persyn is to become director of international distribution at French production and sales outfit Zed.
She will replace Céline Payot-Lehmann, who is headed for Arte France as head of international distribution, Arte Sales.
Persyn has been with Zed since 2010, when she joined from France Télévisions Distribution as a sales executive.
Payot-Lehmann had been with Zed for 12 years, becoming director of international sales and acquisitions in 2008 after building the operation up from scratch.
Persyn, meanwhile, is promoted after heading up catalogue sales into Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa; and helping to finance a number of films an documentaries through presales and coproduction agreements.
Persyn began her career at MIPTV and MIPCOM organiser Reed MIDEM.
Twenty-two-year-old Zed shops documentaries from around 40 producers around the world, including Hillary Clinton: A Woman on the Edge.
