Bell restructures TV as Vivolo exits
Canadian telco Bell has restructured the exec team at TV operations in the wake of Domenic Vivolo leaving the business.
Vivolo (left) leaves at the end of the week to ‘pursue other opportunities’. As president, content sales, marketing and digital products, he has overseen programme sales and marketing across Bell’s bouquet of cable nets, its broadcast net CTV, and SVOD service CraveTV.
As of next week Randy Lennox is upped to president, broadcasting and content. In that role he will oversee all of Bell’s English-language programming and production teams and most of the English-language specialty nets.
Lennox joined Bell from Universal Music last year, soon after the departure of CTV programming chief Phil King.
Mike Cosentino (right) also gets an expanded role, and will head up programming and strategy for CTV and CTV Two broadcast channels, as well as taking responsibility for the Bell English-language entertainment cable nets, including Space, Bravo, E!, MTV and the recently-acquired Gusto foodie net.
Tracey Pearce is upped to president, distribution and pay, in the new structure putting her at the helm of the team selling and marketing Bell channels and non-linear content. She also takes over the CraveTV streaming service and certain pay channels including The Movie Network group of channels, which include the local HBO nets.
All of the execs report to Bell Media President Mary Ann Turcke. She said: “These elevated roles recognise the contributions Randy, Tracey, and Mike have made to the company as individuals and leaders.”
“They are exceptional media executives with decades of experience and stellar track records of innovation and success. I would also like to acknowledge Domenic’s significant contribution to the company and wish him well in the future.”
