Studio Lambert poaches Electric Ray exec
All3Media-owned Studio Lambert has hired Natalie McArdle from Sony-backed Electric Ray to become deputy head of development at the Gogglebox producer.
McArdle will work with and report to head of development Jack Burgess, who joined from NBCUniversal almost two years ago.
At Electric Ray, which former BBC commissioner Karl Warner launched with Sony Pictures Television, McArdle was development executive. At the prodco, she worked on factual programming.
She has also worked in development at Tiger Aspect Productions, BBC Three and Twenty Twenty.
Studio Lambert creative director Tim Harcourt said McArdle would “oversee a portion of the [company] slate” and had “an excellent reputation with buyers as a fine creative executive”.
Studio Lambert is best known for formats such as Undercover Boss, Gogglebox and Tattoo Fixers. Over the weekend here in Cannes, it revealed its latest projects, including Common Sense, which is a comedy-cum-reality format for UK pubcaster the BBC.
