Erol joins from Turkish distributor Kanal D where he was across sales and acquisitions and covering the Middle East, Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Macedonia, Ukraine and Georgia.
At FMI Erol will work across sales of finished programming and formats and cover the Middle East, Africa, Greece, Cyprus, Malta and Turkey. There will also be a focus, in the new role, to push scripted distribution business.
The new FMI exec will report to Anahita Kheder, senior VP of Middle East, Africa and South Eastern Europe.
She said: “In recent years we have witnessed significant changes and growth in the television business across the Middle East, Africa and South Eastern Europe, and FMI has worked exceptionally hard to establish itself as a market leader within the region.
“The addition of Amaç brings further local knowledge and expertise to our team that will help us to expand our presence and continue to build upon our successes to date.”
