Temple Street gets into gaming
Canadian prodco Temple Street has launched TS Games, a new division that will develop mobile games.
TS Games will be part of the Canada-based prodco’s digital division Temple Street Media Ventures. The new unit will have a team of six.
On the TV side, Temple Street’s credits include Orphan Black and kids series The Next Step and Being Erica.
The new division will develop mobile games based on existing and IP and from the ground up. It said it will work with third party games companies on larger products.
We believe that the next great entertainment property can come not just from a hit TV series, but from any great creator, and that includes the world of mobile games,” says Michel Pratte, vice president of Temple Street Media Ventures.
The first two projects are a dance off game to accompany Family Channel, Hulu and CBBC series The Next Step and a retro game to accompany the indie’s upcoming Space and Syfy sci fi series Killjoys.
