New Asian launches for Lagardère’s Mezzo

Classical music and jazz channel Mezzo Live HD will launch on the First Media and BiGTV platforms in Indonesia following two new distribution deals with the pay TV platforms.

The channel is owned by France’s Lagardère Active and distributed in Asia by Lightning International, which struck the new deals, marking the firm’s entry into Indonesia.

As well as rolling out the linear Mezzo Live HD service, content from the channel will be available on First Media and BiGTV’s SVOD and OTT services.

Lightning, which is run by James Ross (pictured) said there are several other carriage deals for Mezzo Live HD in the offing in the region. The channel is programmed with classical music and jazz performances as well as opera and dance.
