Superights picks up toons from fledgling prodco

Kids content distributor Superights has picked up three titles from fledgling French production company Folivari.

It will sell a trio of specials based on Benjamin Renner kids comic books The Big Bad Fox (left), A Baby To Deliver and A Perfect Christmas. The one-offs were ordered by Canal+.

Renner will direct the shows, with veteran producer Didier Brunner’s new prodco Folivari making them.

Superights will sell all three internationally.

“The premises are so brilliant that there is absolutely no doubt Benjamin and Didier will deliver theatrical quality tales for worldwide family audiences,” said Morgann Favennec, deputy MD in charge of international sales and acquisitions.

Superights said it is already closing pre-sales for the show, without specifying the partners.
