Ex-Dailymotion exec joins Condé Nast
Former Dailymotion US general manager Joy Marcus has joined the video content arm of magazine publisher Condé Nast.
Marcus joins Condé Nast Entertainment as GM and executive VP, joining former CW president Dawn Ostroff, who runs the emerging content group.
Marcus is best known for launching VOD service Dailymotion’s North American business, but was most recently CEO of tech firm Bloglove’ and partner at Gotham Ventures.
She exited Dailymotion when Orange took a controlling stake in January 2011, and has also worked at Time Warner, Barnes&Noble.com and MTV Networks (now Viacom Media Networks), where she worked on channel launches in Russia and South Africa.
CNE is working on a variety of projects, including a first-look scripted pact with Twentieth Century Fox Television. Ostroff has been overseeing its move into original programming since taking on her role four years ago.
