Walking Dead spin-off title confirmed
AMC has confirmed the title of its anticipated Walking Dead spin-off.
The AMC Studios-show will be called Fear the Walking Dead, with original series creator Robert Kirkman co-creating and co-writing with Marco Polo’s David Erickson.
AMC has the zombie apocalypse series for the US, with AMC Global acquiring it internationally, with plans to launch it within a day of the Stateside debut screening.
It will comprise six parts and focus on a new group of characters in Los Angeles, before the onset of the events that see zombies take over America.
AMC gave the show a two-season commission, with the first set for this summer. The first tease trailed at the end of last night’s episode of The Walking Dead, which ended its fifth run.
Ratings for season five, episode 16, were expected to be close to, or even could surpass, the record-breaking 8.7 high that the debut episode of this season scored.
