TV3 names Jeff Ford replacement
Ireland’s TV3 has named Lynda McQuaid as its director of content to replace the Fox International Channels-bound Jeff Ford.
McQuaid will take up her post in April, when former Channel 5 chief Ford moves back to the UK to become general manager of FIC UK after more than three years in Ireland.
She has previously produced the Irish version of The Apprentice, MasterChef and The Voice.
McQuaid began her career at ITV Studio precursor Granada Television, before joining the BBC and then back at ITV. Most recently she was an executive producer for CBBC and worked with Dublin-based Communicorp.
“I have long wanted to bring Lynda into TV3 as one of Ireland’s most creative TV producers,” said TV3 Group CEO David McRedmond. “Her appointment further emphasises TV3’s commitment to origination and production standards, and she was the outstanding candidate to deliver TV3’s brand proposition ‘We Entertain’.”
TV3, launched in 1988, is Ireland’s oldest commercial broadcaster.
