Jens Richter reorganises FremantleMedia
FremantleMedia International CEO Jens Richter has instigated a restructure at the distributor that sees regional execs reporting directly to him under a more centralised structure, and London-based staff promoted.
Richter joined from Red Arrow International last year and has rejigged the senior exec roster.
Bob McCourt moves from chief finance officer to chief operating officer, overseeing all operational and financial aspects of the FMI business.
In turn, Darren Green is upped to CFO, filling the role vacated by McCourt, who had been acting FMI CEO while Richter played out a gardening leave period after exiting Red Arrow.
In the sales team Singapore-based Haryaty Rahman is upped to senior VP, sales and distribution Asia.
Also in the Asian side of the business, FMI’s sales and distribution executive VP, Ganesh Rajaram, will now report directly to Richter. Previously, he reported to Paul Ridley, senior EVP, television and distribution, Asia-Pac.
Sheila Aguirre, executive VP, content distribution and format sales, Latin America and Hispanic US, now also reports direct to the FMI boss instead of Lisa Honig, senior EVP, the Americas.
Both Honig and Ridley retain their current roles, FMI said this morning.
“Today’s announcement seeks only to strengthen the [sales] team further and recognises the brilliant work they’ve done so far,” Richter said.
He added: “I’m delighted to have Bob working side by side with me – he’s been a fantastic aide since I joined FMI – while changes to reporting structures reflect our increased commitment to the emerging markets, and the potential opportunities they offer.”
