ITV Encore buys Swedish drama

ITV Encore has acquired Swedish drama Jordskott for UK screens.
The 10-part drama from Palladium Fiction will run on the ITV-owned channel after debuting strongly on Swedish pubcaster SVT in February.
The deal is with another part of ITV, international distributor ITV Studios Global Entertainment. ITV director of digital channels and acquisitions Angela Jain brokered the deal with Jayne Redpath, ITVSGE’s senior VP, sales, EMEA.
The drama, set in the ancient forests of Sweden, follows a police investigator struggling to cope with the disappearance of her daughter.
