Legendary hires another studio exec for sales
Legendary Television has added another former studio exec, this time to run Lat-Am distribution. Carlos Sanchez joins from Warner Bros. to fill the new role, vice president, distribution, Latin America.
Legendary Television is the TV arm of film producer Legendary. It is run by former Warner Bros. Television Group boss Bruce Rosenblum.
Sanchez will report to Michael Grindon, the former Sony Pictures Television International president who runs worldwide distribution at the company.
Sanchez joins from the digital distribution division of Warner Bros. “I am looking forward to working with Latin American and U.S Hispanic platforms in order to bring Legendary’s quality television and digital content to viewers throughout the Americas,” said Sanchez.
Grindon added: “Carlos’s wealth of knowledge and expertise in Latin America’s film and TV industry will be a key part of expanding that business beyond the US and Europe and further establishing our distribution platform in the marketplace.”
Grindon has already brought on John McMahon, a former colleague at Sony, as executive VP and managing director, EMEA.
