Objective founder exits All3Media prodco
Michael Vine is leaving Objective Productions, the UK comedy and entertainment producer he cofounded in 1996.
Vine started the London-based prodco in 1996 with Andrew O’Connor and it is owned by All3Media after the super-indie acquired the business in 2007.
The prodco’s credits include hit Channel 4 comedies Peep Show and Fresh Meat as well as several specials featuring illusionist Derren Brown and studio gameshows The Cube and Reflex – all of which are distributed by All3Media International.
Vine said he will continue to run his talent agency Michael Vine Associates. Objective also has a comedy-focussed talent arm, Objective Talent Management, which Vine was running.
He will also focus on his feature film work. He has produced upcoming horror-western Blood Moon, which will be released next year.
Announcing his departure from Objective, Vine said: “It has been seven years since we sold to All3Media and working with Steve Morrison and Farah Ramzan Golant along with their team has been a fascinating journey. I am leaving Objective in very good shape with a highly talented team lead by Andrew Newman”.
Newman joined Objective in 2009 and was upped to CEO in 2011. Vine has been joint managing director with Paul Sandler, who has been with the company since 2005.
