News brief: Heggessy leaves Boom Pictures
Lorraine Heggessey (pictured, standing) has reportedly left Boom Pictures, the UK-based production group she set up in.
Heggessey, a former BBC1 controller and boss of Talkback Thames, established Boom in 2012 with former ITV drama execs Laura Mackie and Sally Haynes.
Last October, Boom Pictures merged with UK indie Twofour to create a new UK-based production and distribution powerhouse.
UK newspaper The Guardian broke the news yesterday. It reported that the reasons for Heggessey’as departure are not known, but the matter is in the hands of her lawyers.
