BBC takes Agatha Christie rights
UK public broadcaster the BBC has won UK rights to Agatha Christie and has announced two new drama adaptations of the famous author’s works.
BBC One will air new versions of murder mysteries And Then There Were None and Partners in Crime.
Red Arrow-owned UK-based producer Endor will make the six-episode Partners in Crime adaptation with Little Britain star David Walliams already cast.
Mammoth Screen and Acorn Productions will make And Then There Were None, which will be written by Sarah Phelps (Great Expectations).
The broadcaster said that having reached a deal with the author’s estate and sealed the rights it is discussing which Christie projects it will work on next.
