NRK goes back in time with reality format
Norwegian pubcaster NRK has commissioned a series in which contestants will experience city life as it was in Bergen in 1764.
Anno is being billed as a “major new programme initiative for the whole family” from NRK’s development team. MTG-owned Strix is the lead producer, with NRK as minority coproducer.
The show will see people living together and compete in themed tasks over a ten-week period. “It will be an entertaining series of fascinating stories, play and fierce competition,” said NRK project editor Unni Ødegård.
NRK is currently searching for Norwegian participants aged between 20-80 to take part in the show, which will broadcast in the autumn of this year. At the end of the show, a winner will be declared.
Another MTG-owned firm, DRG, is selling the format on the international market.
