Antenna Group partners with Vice Media
Greece-based Antenna Group has partnered with youth media brand and digital content studio Vice Media, in a deal designed to “dramatically expand” Vice’s presence across Greece and South East Europe.
Vice will use media group Antenna’s position in the market to expand its distribution, offering the local audience “new ways to experience Vice content across devices, screens, social networks, and digital platforms”.
Antenna will also allow Vice to produce content in the region for broadcast and print, as well as digital, with a focus on local news, culture, music, fashion, travel, sports and technology.
The news comes after Vice recently opened an Athens office and hired a team of journalists and producers to launch domestic video-driven and editorial content channels.
The Antenna-Vice partnership will start in Greece and will expand to include countries across the Balakans, the firms said.
“I am extremely proud and happy that we have now entered this strategic relationship with Vice. I think we make a formidable team, with Antenna’s experience in South East Europe and Vice’s expertise as a leader in producing and distributing contemporary, cutting edge, multimedia content,” said Antenna Group CEO, Theodore Kyriakou.
Antenna Group was founded in 1989 and operates across Europe, North America and Australia. It has offices in Amsterdam, London, Athens and New York, and distributes content in over 40 countries.
It recently hired former Cineflix Studios boss Pete Smith as its managing director.
