Sony-backed Victory trying out gameshow for the BBC
Victory Television is piloting a new gameshow format, In Sync.
A casting call has just gone out for contestants for the show although the broadcaster was being kept under wraps. However, TBI has learned that UK public broadcaster the BBC has ordered the non-TX pilot.
The format tasks pairs of participants – which could be friends, partners, family members or work colleagues – with challenges that test how in sync they are with one another.
Auditions for the BBC pilot take place next month.
Victory is the production company set up by Victoria Ashbourne in 2011 with backing from Sony Pictures Television.
Victory is currently working on Draw It! for UK free-to-air broadcaster Channel 4. The show is based on the Zynga app. The broadcaster is expected to launch the show this autumn although scheduling details have yet to be released.
SPT declined to comment, but its sales division is expected to represent the format in international territories.
