UKTV buys Endemol’s Treasure Detectives

Yesterday, the UK factual channel run by digital channels group UKTV, has acquired US series Treasure Detectives.

The one-hour series is fronted by art detective Curtis Dowling and his team and follow them as they evaluate whether arts, antiques and collectibles are fake or genuine.

It is made by Endemol USA and was cable news network CNBC’s first reality series when it debuted in March.

Yesterday bought the show from Endemol Worldwide Distribution and will launch it later this year.

Adrian Wills, general manager of Yesterday said, “Treasure Detectives is an exciting and dynamic reality series, which combines the best elements of CSI, Antiques Roadshow and Storage Hunters, which is a big hit on [UKTV] channel Dave.”
