FIC Asia adds syndication chief
Fox International Channels Asia has appointed a head of affiliated partnerships and syndication to work on bespoke products for local markets.
Alex Lambeek, who joins from Indonesian DTH satellite operator Aora, will lead FIC’s efforts to work with platform operators to create tailor-made versions of its products, particularly in mobile, non-linear and multi-screen extensions.
He will also seek to devise strategies to help drive subscriptions and work to fight piracy.
Besides, Aora, Lambeek has worked in senior positions for Nokia and BlackBerry.
Pay TV networks operator FIC Asia has 18 offices across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
“We look at each market as a local business and are firmly committed to building the pay TV industry in each country together with our affiliate partners. The appointment of Alex affirms our commitment to this strategy,” said Zubin Gandevia, president, FIC Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
“Our teams on the ground have unrivalled local knowledge and I am confident that our local expertise supported by Alex’s extensive experience is a winning combination that will help take our business to the next level.”
Today’s news follows the appointment of Gandevia to FIC’s Asian president, which itself came after former FIC Asia Pacific and Middle East boss Wade Platt was promoted to FIC’s global COO and CEO of distribution wing National Geographic Channels International.
