NBC Universal poaches BBC Worldwide deputy CEO
The international production arm of Hollywood studio NBCUniversal has hired Sarah Cooper as COO. She joins from BBC Worldwide where she was COO and deputy CEO.
In the newly-created role of COO, Cooper will report to Michael Edelstein, president, NBCUniversal International Television Production. She starts on March 11.
Based in London, Cooper will have day-to-day operational responsibility for business and legal affairs, HR, finance, merchandising and licensing, and format sales.
Edelstein said: “Sarah Cooper has a vast array of international experience and will be an invaluable asset as we continue to build NBCU International Television Production into the premiere destination for content creators working outside the United States.”
