Cake inks Random House distribution deal
Random House Children’s Screen Entertainment (RHCSE) has appointed Cake the distributor of its new animated series Wanda and the Alien.
Cake will sell the preschool series internationally.
The first episodes of the 52x10mins series will debut in Q4 2013 on UK free-to-air broadcaster Channel 5’s milkshake!
The TV series also represents the first book-to-screen transfer for RHCSE, which is the UK production house created by Random House Children’s Publishers UK and Komixx Entertainment.
The kids show is based on a series of books from Sue Hendra, about a little girl rabbit who meets an alien.
Tom Van Waveren, CEO & creative director, Cake said: “The very fresh look of the show, its charismatic characters and unconventional story lines make it an exciting, strong proposition for the international market.”
