Beyond picks up two BBC kids shows
Beyond International has taken international rights to two new kids series, Totally Rubbish and Get Squiggling Letters.
Both are from UK indie producer Dot To Dot Productions.
Totally Rubbish was commissioned by UK public broadcaster the BBC’s kids channel CBBC and Get Squiggling Letters by its preschool sister channel CBeebies.
Totally Rubbish is 10x30mins art show in which rubbish is transformed into something amazing and useful.
Get Squiggling Letters, is a 26x7mins spin-off from Get Squiggling and is a preschool show which shows children how to form their letters correctly through drawing, songs and stories.
Yvonne Body, head of acquisitions for Beyond, said: “Get Squiggling Letters is a natural extension of the Get Squiggling brand and is a perfect example of educational content presented in a way that makes it fun and easy for children to learn. We’re very excited about Totally Rubbish. It’s a refreshing take on repurposing items and materials which would normally be thrown out or put in the recycling.”
