Content Innovation Awards 2020

Cineflix Rights, Banijay’s format Lego Masters and Canadian drama Transplant were among the standout winners at this year’s Content Innovation Awards, which was broadcast on 3 December and is now available online.

An array of international companies were among prize winners at the sixth edition of the annual awards, which were this year revealed via a virtual ceremony as judges and the TBI team honoured finalists across an array of categories.

Federation Kids and Family’s international sales chief Monica Levy tells Richard Middleton how the French company is navigating the fast-changing TV landscape and outlines why shows such as ‘Find Me In Paris’ have been such a success. She also details how Federation is working with partners on new projects, including live-action series, and discusses ‘The Star of Andra and Tati’, an animated special that tells the true story of two sisters who were deported to Auschwitz as children.

Content Innovation Awards 2019

Endemol Shine Group, Sky and Kew Media were among the stand-out winners at this year’s Content Innovation Awards, which took place during a lavish ceremony prior to MIPCOM in Cannes.

At a packed event at the Majestic Hotel, Sky’s epic series Chernobyl beat off finalists including Benedict Cumberbatch-starring Patrick Melrose and Bavaria Fiction’s Das Boot to take home the coveted Best Debut Drama Series prize.

The awards, which are now into their fifth year, also saw Endemol Shine take home the Entertainment Format of the Year trophy for its culinary veteran MasterChef, while the Best Documentary Series prize was won by Kew Media Distribution for Leaving Neverland, about the two men who alleged they were sexually abused by pop icon Michael Jackson.
