Nat Geo and PBS producer joins NHNZ

NHNZ has brought on veteran producer, director and writer Sue Houghton who will work on blue-chip projects for the natural history producer and distributor.

Houghton, who specialises in expedition and marine programming has been working for National Geographic and PBS for the past eight years and her credits include The Secret Life of Predators and Kingdom of the Blue Whale.

She will work out of NHNZ’s Washington base. The company is now part of David Haslingden’s production and distribution group having formerly been backed by Nat Geo owner Fox.

NHNZ managing director Kyle Murdoch said: “NHNZ has had a stellar past in blue-chip productions and as we look to the future, having someone like Sue Houghton on board gives us a distinct edge.”

Kiwi-based NHNZ has been increasing its footprint in North America. It recently upped Shera Collins within its US team.
