BBC orders Country Life magazine series

BBC Two has ordered Inside Country Life, a reality show set inside the offices of British lifestyle magazine Country Life.

The 3x60mins show will be made by Spun Gold and produced by Jane Treays, the exec behind the successful BBC Two series Inside Claridges and who recently joined the UK independent prodco.

It will follow Country Life editor Mark Hedges and his editorial team as they embark on the magazine’s 117th year.

BBC Commissioning Editor Clare Paterson said: “Jane will bring her trade-mark perceptive wit and warmth to these films while taking a fresh look at the British countryside.”

Inside Country Life was commissioned by Emma Willis, head of commissioning, Documentaries, BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Four.
