News brief: Viacom poaches Fox exec for Comedy Central Asia

Viacom International Media Networks in Asia has recruited Paras Sharma as vice president, MTV, Comedy Central and digital media.

Sharma joins from Fox International Channels where he was VP and worked across the channel operator’s services throughout Asia.

Starting in mid-March, he will replace Sian Ju Tan who is leaving VIMN after almost two decades. In the Singapore-based role Sharma will report to Indra Suharjono, VIMN Asia’s executive VP and managing director.
