Gaumont restructures animation division

French animation studio Gaumont has restructured following the departure of its production boss.

Pierre Quenet departed Gaumont Animation at the end of 2013 after almost a decade with the Paris-based producer and distributor necessitating an internal reorganisation.

Under the new corporate structure Michael Manaud becomes director, legal and business affairs and Marc Dhrami takes Quenet’s role of head of production, adding studio operations and productions to his existing coproduction responsibilities.

Development boss Heath Kenny takes the new role of creative VP and executive producer and will scout new projects for Gaumont.
