Arrested Industries’ Anthony Kimble joins 5X Media, bringing more than 20 projects
Anthony Kimble, CEO of Arrested Industries, is joining international production studio, talent management and sales company 5X Media as a producer and manager.
Former Nat Geo and Cineflix exec Kimble will develop 5X Media’s international production and talent representation business, while continuing to work under his Arrested Industries banner, bringing more than 20 feature films, TV projects and documentaries into the 5X fold.
These include the dark comedy Becoming Eve, with Nurse Jackie co-creator Evan Dunsky attached as showrunner; Bitter Eden, based on the novel; Jo Jo: Finally Home, the memoir of Johannes Radebe; and 10 additional film and TV projects resulting from joint venture partnership between Arrested and film producer Helena Spring Films.
At 5X, Kimble will split his time between Cape Town, London and Los Angeles, focusing on the international marketplace and spearheading his current development slate. Additionally, he will develop and produce new scripted TV and feature film projects, as well as scout and manage talent in front of and behind the camera in Africa and Europe.
Alon Shtruzman and Gil Goldschein, co-CEOs of 5X Media, said: “The addition of Anthony and his Arrested Industries’ portfolio instantly supercharges our already impressive slate of projects, reinforcing our intention to be a global player in the content production and management business.
“Anthony is a consummate team player who brings to us a sophisticated strategic thinker and communicator with a successful track record in business management, development and complex deal execution. He maintains extensive relationships with producers, agents, broadcasters and platforms spanning every major territory and will be a major asset to us.”
