Netflix has commissioned a new comedy series from US comedian Tom Segura.

The six-part dark comedy series will center on Segura, who serves as the show’s narrator, as he takes viewers through each episode in a series of vignettes.

According to Netflix: “The twisted comedic sensibility of Tom’s standup is the core DNA of this series, where every story will unfold in a hilariously disturbing way only he could imagine.”

Segura and Ryan Hall will produce through YMH Studios. Jeremy Konner (Drunk History, Another Period, Waffles & Mochi) will serve as head writer on the series, which was picked up by Netflix based on a pilot that Segura wrote and produced.

The show will begin production later this year and is expected to stream in 2025.

Segura has previously partnered with Netflix on comedy specials including 2020’s Ball Hog, 2018’s Disgraceful, 2016’s Mostly Stories and 2014’s Completely Normal.

His fifth Netflix special, Sledgehammer, released in July last year and debuted at number one on the streamer’s Top 10 charts.
