‘Highway Thru Hell’ leads to FAST channel with Banijay, Great Pacific deal

Canada’s Great Pacific Media (GPM) is moving into FAST with a new channel launched in partnership with Banijay Rights.

The Highway Thru Hell-branded FAST channel will feature the first 10 seasons of the long-running docuseries, which is produced by Great Pacific and tracks the work of recovery companies operating in freezing conditions.

All seven seasons of GPM’s Heavy Rescue: 401 will also become available, with the channel set to be rolled out in the UK from today, with a 17 April launch in Australia.

Platforms confirmed in the UK include Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Freevee, Plex, and Samsung TV Plus in Australia.

Highway Thru Hell debuted on Bell Media’s Discovery in 2012 and is in production on a 13th season that will see it mark 204 episodes.

Heavy Rescue: 401, also commissioned by Bell Media’s Discovery, just finished a seven-season run.
