Banijay’s chief commercial officer Owain Walbyoff to exit
Banijay’s chief commercial officer is stepping down.
Owain Walbyoff will depart at the end of the month following a three-year stint with the French giant and almost a decade with its predecessor, Endemol Shine Group. His next move is not known.
Walbyoff joined the group in 2020 and headed up a brands division that launched later that year, working on deals including Banijay’s pact with Universal Music Publishing and retail agreements for shows such as Peaky Blinders.
Banijay confirmed his exit, adding: “Through his three-and-a-half-year tenure, and before that, a decade with Endemol Shine Group, Owain has been instrumental in setting the group’s brand and commercial agenda, spearheading monetisation efforts across its super brands, and delivering a raft of impressive deals across all functions.
“We wish him all the best with his future endeavours.” Variety broke the news.
