Sony ups Suzanne Prete to become president of game shows division
Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has promoted Suzanne Prete to become president of its game shows division.
Prete has been with the company for three decades and took on an expanded remit at SPT in 2022, when the group acquired American Idol producer Industrial Media.
As part of that deal, Prete was appointed to a new role overseeing SPT’s expanded game shows division, with Holly Jacobs stepping down.
Ravi Ahuja, chairman of Global Television Studios & corporate development at SPT, said Prete had “expanded SPT’s established franchises and leveraged our extensive library of formats to create innovative ‘radical reboots’, while simultaneously developing original content for today’s buyers and audiences.”
Her slate includes Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy!, which were extended by ABC last year to run until 2028.
