‘Griselda’ was Netflix’s most-watched show of past seven days
Crime drama Griselda, true crime docuseries American Nightmare and Harlan Coben adaptation Fool Me Once were the most most-watched series on Netflix over the past week (22-30 January).
Griselda, starring and executive produced by Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara, took the number one spot in 89 countries and was the most watched title of the week, with 20.6 million views since its debut on 25 January.
The series, created by Eric Newman and directed by Andres Baiz, is inspired by the life of notorious cartel boss Griselda Blanco.
Taking second place with 13 million views last week was American Nightmare, directed by Bernadette Higgins and Felicity Morris, which launched all three instalments on 17 January and follows the real-life kidnapping of Denise Huskins in March 2015.
Fool Me Once, from Quay Street Productions, meanwhile, clocked up 7.6 million views last week. The thriller, which launched on 1 January is an adaptation of the Harlan Coben novel of the same name.
Other high-performing titles on the global streamer over the past seven days include Korean thriller The Bequeathed (3.1 million views), the second season of Love On The Spectrum (3 million views) and Money Heist spin-off Berlin (2.8 million views).
