Bell Media’s Canadian streamer Crave is moving into adult animation with a new 10-parter from Thunderbird Entertainment’s Atomic Cartoons.

Super Team Canada is being produced in partnership by Atomic, which is behind Young Love for Max, and Will Arnett’s Electric Avenue (Snake Oil).

The show is in production with a premiere set for 2025 and has been created by Canadian brothers Robert Cohen (Somebody, Somewhere) and Joel H. Cohen (The Simpsons).

It focuses on the exploits of six, little-known Canadian superheroes trying to save the world from evil giant robots, an unemployed octopus, and needy hardware store clerks.

“Distinctly Canadian original comedies have helped Crave build its brand, and with its sharp wit and clever Canadian-isms, Super Team Canada will fit right in,” said Justin Stockman, VP of content development & programming at Bell Media.

Thunderbird Distribution and Brands oversee global media and consumer products rights for the series.
