Argonon’s US label Rose Rock rejigs creative team by hiring Wheelhouse exec
Argonon’s US label Rose Rock Entertainment has restructured its creative team by hiring former Wheelhouse Entertainment exec Darryl Cordova and promoting Travis Schoen.
The rejig, which follows the arrival of Joe Weinstock as the first Argonon USA CEO, will see Cordova becoming senior director of development and Schoen being upped to VP of production & development.
LA-based Cordova was most recently director of development at Wheelhouse label Spoke but will now look to expand unscripted commissions, reporting into Weinstock.
Red Rose has bases in Oklahoma and LA, with two currently unannounced series in production for US networks as well as two specials.
Cordova has been behind shows including Hulu’s Secret Chef, Inn The Works for Magnolia/Discovery+, and Netflix’s Hype House.
Schoen, who had been senior director of development, will work closely with Steven McGovern, COO of Argonon USA, who joined the group earlier this year.
Argonon said the appointments “underline” its “strategic ambitions for the US market”.
Weinstock added: “As green shoots emerge in the US creative economy, we’re investing in exciting and ambitious new talent to position Rose Rock for continued future growth.
“With a new senior creative team in place for Rose Rock, we will significantly expand our ideation and ramp up our creative slate as we capitalise on the opportunities ahead.”
Rose Rock was launched as a joint venture with Argonon in 2022, joining its other US label Leopard USA, which produces House Hunters International, among others.
