Paramount Global has rejigged its streaming team with two promotions, including an expanded remit for global content exec Jeff Grossman.

Grossman has been upped to become EVP of programming at Lawmen: Bass Reeves streamer Paramount+ and will lead the streamer’s “holistic” programming strategy, reporting to Paramount streaming CEO Tom Ryan.

The exec was most recently EVP of content & business operations and had reported into global content chief Tanya Giles, who left in March after almost three decades with the company.

Paramount has also upped Amy Kuessner to become EVP of programming for Pluto TV, with a remit that includes oversight of content and channels around the world.

She was most recently EVP of content strategy & global partnerships for Paramount Streaming, and had previously reported in chief strategy officer & chief business development officer Jeff Shultz.

In her new role, Kuessner will now report directly to Ryan.

Paramount said the changes would allow it to “better leverage, customise and showcase content” across its streaming operations globally.

The move comes a month after CEO Bob Bakish told MIPCOM delegates that the company is “playing through the trough” of a challenging market with partnerships and “new-age content licensing” at the heart of the strategy.
