Paramount+ expands ‘branded hub’ strategy with Streamz in Belgium

Paramount Global is expanding its Paramount+ branded third-party partnership strategy with a deal in Belgium.

The pact, which follows Paramount Global’s recent deal with Cosmote TV in Greece, will see Streamz create a Paramount+ branded area on their platform as part of a multi-year licensing deal.

The agreement will include scripted shows, unscripted series and children’s programming, and follows comments from Paramount CEO Bob Bakish that such third-party deals to expand Paramount+’s reach in smaller markets would be central to its strategy.

Shows ranging from 1883 and the Frasier reboot to Tulsa King and Poker Face will be available, as well as movies such as Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One.

Flemish service Streamz was founded in September 2020 by VTM owner DPG Media and Telenet. It offes local (co-)productions from VTM, Play Media, VRT and Studio 100, as well as licensed content from Warner Bros. Discovery’s HBO and HBO Max.
