AMC Int’l Networks acquires Omens Studios animation ‘Leo The Wildlife Ranger’
AMC International Networks has acquired season one of Omens Studios’ animated adventure series Leo The Wildlife Ranger, for the Middle East and Africa, and season two for Europe.
Other new deals for the series include TRT taking season one and two in Turkey, FairFax County Schools Districts taking season two for the US, while Common Sense Media has renewed its existing deal for season one.
Leo The Wildlife Ranger was originally commissioned by Singapore pubcaster MediaCorp and is now shown in over 50 territories.
The wildlife-centric series, which has a new 80 x 10-minute commission scheduled for the first half of 2024, is aimed at 3-7 year olds and provides young audiences with zoology facts, while teaching environmental awareness and nature conservation. The series features Junior Rangers Leo and Katie and their loyal canine companion Hero, on their quest to learn more about the animals and plants that surround us on this planet.
Chi Sim Tang, CEO of Omens Studios, said: “We are continuing to expand the offering for our fans, and we’re delighted to welcome new premium broadcast partners on board, including AMC International Networks, to bring the action-packed adventures of our wildlife rangers to new audiences.”
