HBO in Latin America picks up Mediapro drama ‘La Mesías’

HBO in Latin America has picked up Mediapro drama La Mesías, one of the buzzy titles here in Cannes.

The show is sold by Movistar Plus+ International and will become available across Lat Am.

The seven-parter was produced for Movistar Plus by Suma Content, with Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo writing and directing.

The show follows a mother who is a religious fanatic and raises her daughters in the hope they will save the world.
