Globo rejigs international with Rodrigo Nascimento leading Europe, Middle East & Africa
Brazilian giant Globo has restructured its international team, with a new Europe, Middle East and Africa-focused exec.
Rodrigo Nascimento becomes head of international business in the region, based out of Portugal and with a remit to expand new business and partnerships, as well as products.
He joins having previously worked across Globo’s business management team and also oversaw international advertising, a role that remains under his management.
The rejig, which comes nine months after Angela Colla took control of Globo’s international operations, also sees Gabriel Bonelli arriving as head of international sales.
Bonelli has been with the company for eight years and looked after its sports channels business until 2020, when he became manager of product & performance modeling, overseeing channel and streaming distribution among other areas. He will now be responsible for leading the sales and commercial planning team globally.
Finally, former Disney exec Marcela Parise, is overseeing customer success, adding the remit to his exisitng role of head of international marketing.
The rejig, which follows Pablo Ghiglione’s appointment as head of international coproductions earlier this year, comes almost a year since veteran international business boss Raphael Corrêa Netto stepped down to move to a new role in pay TV.
Ana Carolina Lima, who had headed up content at at Globoplay, had stepped down a month earlier after almost a decade with the company, as revealed by TBI.
