Globo rejigs international operations as chief Raphael Corrêa Netto moves to pay TV

Globo is rejigging its international business with veteran exec Raphael Corrêa Netto moving to a new role in pay TV.

Corrêa Netto has been with Globo for more than two decades and has for the last five years been leading the Brazilian giant’s international business operations, including the expansion of streamer Globoplay.

He will no become director of non-sports pay-TV operations at Globo, replacing Daniela Mignani, who is leaving the company.

Corrêa Netto has been handed a remit to expand Globo’s pay-TV operation. His replacement on the international stage has not yet been revealed.

Corrêa Netto is the latest senior exec to exit Globo’s international business. Ana Carolina Lima, who headed up content at at Globoplay, stepped down in August after almost a decade with the company, as revealed by TBI.
