UK comcaster ITV has commissioned an ‘all stars’ spin-off from the hit Love Island reality dating series.

Launching on ITV2 and streamer ITVX early next year, Love Island: All Stars will follow popular former contestants who receive another chance at finding true love at the idyllic South African villa.

Produced by Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, and GroupM Motion Entertainment, the series will see relationships put to the test as bombshells enter and heads turn leaving some lovestruck hopefuls heartbroken in the ultimate quest for love.

Since its launch on ITV2 in 2015, Love Island has been a major hit for the UK broadcaster and has amassed more than 300 million streams on ITVX this year. The launch episode of the last series also attracted over 3 million viewers across all devices.

Love Island is co-owned by ITV Studios and GroupM Motion Entertainment and is distributed internationally by ITV Studios. The show has been commissioned in 27 territories ranging from the UK to the USA, Greece and Germany.

“After 10 ratings busting seasons of Love Island on ITV2, we’re delighted to be able to celebrate a decade of the number one dating show on television with the first ever series of Love Island: All Stars.

“Set in our luxurious South African Villa, I know the audience will welcome back some of the most iconic UK Islanders, as they set out in pursuit of love all over again in a brand new version of our worldwide hit,” said Paul Mortimer, director of reality commissioning & acquisitions and controller, ITV2 & ItvBe.
