‘Real Housewives’ EP Alex Baskin launches production firm, 32 Flavors
TV creator and executive producer Alex Baskin, who formerly led unscripted production firm Evolution Media, has his own prodco, 32 Flavors.
Baskin will serve as CEO of the LA-based company, which he plans to develop into a full-scale production operation that produce unscripted and unscripted content, as well as films and podcasts.
The company is already co-producing Bravo shows Vanderpump Rules, The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives Of Orange County, and said that an additional forthcoming series is to be announced.
Baskin is an executive producer on all these series, as well as Botched for E! and Love In Fairhope for Hulu. The company also has a number of projects in development at streamers and networks, in addition to several forthcoming podcasts, including Once Upon A Con, with AYR Media.
Baskin is also producing two upcoming feature films, including the horror satire film Skill House featuring Bryce Hall and 50 Cent.
“This is a time of great upheaval in the business – but also a time of great opportunity,” said Baskin. “Now more than ever, producers need to focus on the bedrock of content – strong storytelling with a creative filter. I’m eager to push the envelope with original content, fresh talent and forming new and meaningful partnerships.”
Baskin was previously named president of The Real Housewives Of Orange County producer Evolution Media in 2019, having served as EVP of programming and development and later president of programming and development.
He, along with company founder and CEO Douglas Ross, helped to land the firm’s sale to MGM in 2017.
