Canada’s TVA preps French-language ‘MasterChef’ with Pixcom

Canadian French-language network TVA has ordered a local version of culinary format MasterChef.

The show is being produced by Pixcom, in collaboration with Quebecor Content, and will debut early 2024. Banijay Rights sells format rights.

The deal means MasterChef has now been commissioned across 68 markets, with more than 10,000 broadcast globally to date. The format was created by Franc Roddam and first launched in 1990.

Jane Rimer, SVP of Canada at Banijay Rights, brokered the deal with Quebecor Content.
